Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer Private or Semi-private training?
YES! Absolutely! We will visit you at your home for private training or semi-private training if you'd prefer. Semi-private training is more economical (a reduced rate from private training) and allows you to choose whom you workout with! Invite your partner, neighbour, friend or family member to join you!
Are your services covered under my employer benefits?
If your employer offers reimbursement for a certified Personal Trainer or Fitness classes under your Personal Spending Account or Health Spending Account you may be covered. Please contact your plan provider for more information.
May I participate in training if I have an injury or problem area?
What are your qualifications?
Our trainer, Gianna, is both a Certified Personal Training Specialist and a Certified Fitness Instructor Specialist through canfitpro. Gianna has also earned other fitness designations which include: Certified Fitness Kickboxing Specialist (Fitness Kickboxing Canada Inc), Cycle ONE Indoor Group Cycle Certification (Cycle Reebok) and is working towards her designation as a Nutrition and Weight Loss Specialist . She is also certified in first-aid and CPR and has been part of the fitness industry for almost two decades.
What if the weather is crummy?
Weather has a way of being unpleasant when we’d prefer it not to be. We ask that you dress appropriately for potential weather changes. Layers are always a good idea. If the weather becomes a safety concern and the class needs to be cancelled, you will receive notification (usually via email) indicating this.
I am pregnant, may I participate in the training sessions?
Unfortunately, the risks to the baby are greatly increased when engaging in exercises that significantly raise the heart rate - especially if you have not been a regular exerciser. It is recommended that you not participate in any training sessions unless you have been given permission in the form of a PAR Med X form (filled in by your physician).
What do I need to bring to the fitness sessions?
- towel or yoga mat to lay on the ground
- bottle of water (or two! )
- appropriate footwear (running shoes/cross-trainers)
- athletic clothing (dress in layers for comfort)
- a towel (for sweat)
We will provide any additional equipment we might use during our sessions.
